I hate to even mention this, since merely saying her
name can evoke the creature; but today is the birthday of…..(gasp)……….Barbra
Streisand! Yes, that Barbra Striesand – the world
renowned singer, actress, director and evil genius who plans to take over the
world after she has lulled us into a sense of complacency with her endless
covers of other people’s songs – the Barbra Striesand who took a beautiful
story by Isaac Bashevis Singer and turned into the musical horror film, Yentyl.
Think I’m being too harsh?
Okay, who, but a self-obsessed egomaniac spells Barbara
that way?
At any rate, Striesand turns 70 today (Yes, that’s the
big 7-0, which means, at least for James Brolin, there’s hope). It’s quite obvious that she’s had some work
done as you can see by comparing these before and after photos:
